I have a small child. He has a lot of weight. He takes a lot of water, so he has a lot of fluid, and he weighs about 10. I am taking levothyroxine and the other two.

We took levothyroxine for six months and my father developed the very rare condition known as goiter. The doctor recommended it to me and my son was told I would need to see him about this because of it. I have been told by the doctor that the only way he can be able to help me is if he has a thyroid problem.
I have done an endoscopy and a radioimmuno scan and my son is now taking the drug at a high dose. My father's problem is due to goiter. I don't think this is causing his problems, but it is also causing his problems. My question is, what do I do to treat this?
There are no other options, and I have seen the doctor several times. I am not sure what the best option would be for me. My only hope is that I can help him. The doctor has told me to try all possible medications and try taking synthroid. I am not sure if this is right for me, but my concern is that this may help. I would also suggest that I try the levothyroxine tablet as well. If the medication does not work, I am more likely to take another.
